when i had my thought of building up the rear of the right floorboard the other day, a few of you had some questions about how it will work out, today i went by the dealer to get my vin number and to bring them the sway bar and hemi links. i also brought the template i made to take a couple of pictures so you can get a better idea of what i am trying to do.
the first picture is of the right floorboard on a 2014 rt. the second picture is of the template i made on the floorboard. i ordered the larger brake pedal so that it will be further out for ease of finding it. now once the plates are made, it will sit where the template is but the rubber insert for the floorboard will be cut to the form of the plates and they will sit directly onto the floorboard and fastened to it from the underside, the top of the plates will have some rubber piece glued to it so my foot does not slip off of the aluminum the plates are being made of. as you can see the brake pedal will have plenty of room to travel up and down, so i figure with the 2 1/2 build up i am doing i will be able to pivot my heal to allow the ball of my foot to use the pedal.
