• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Pet Name "Sandra"

Darren, you can call Sandra whatever you feel like & if anyone has a problem with it, then that's their own problem to deal with, not yours!!?! :lecturef_smilie:

And I'd feel fairly comfortable by suggesting that if they have issues with that, then they might have some 'other' problems too! :sour:

or bridled in some cases! just saying---------:roflblack:

And spydaman, that's just kinky!! :yikes::yikes:

Now where didja get that bridle? ;)

I would like to apologise for using the pet name "Sandra" in reference to my F3 too many times on SL. Its a childhood thing that started from the age of 7, when I started giving pet names to my toy cars and it carried on into my adult life giving pet names to all the cars I have ever owned. I will now use the words "Spyder" or "F3-S" on SL only, to respect the site and other contributors.
Elsewhere on other sites, family, friends etc the pet name "Sandra" will be used.

Hopefully no one is actually offended by the name. As others have said you can call your bike whatever you darn well like!

However, I do think it's helpful if you use your type of bike(i.e. 2015 F3 S) in your posts/headers for others to determine if they want to click on your question or comment. Maybe just put "Sandra" in your signature.

My Spyders name actually has a Leeds UK connection as it's named "Evans" after Cape Evans as I often use Captain Lawerence Oates famous last words "I am just going outside and may be some time" when going off on a ride. I initially called it Oates but thought people may get the wrong end of the stick if I said things like "I'll go and get my Oates".

For those who don't know Cape Evans is where Scott's Hut is. The Terra Nova Expedition left from there to travel to the south pole, never to return. The hut has been preserved just as they left it. Here's a couple of photos I took last time I was there (sorry about the quality, was very dark in there):

Have you considered professional help to overcome this affliction? :joke:

I tend to feel sorry for people who feel the need to put a black cloud over someone else's joy. They are usually not happy.

I enjoy reading about you and Sandra. No need to apologize.
