• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Patch cable for Freedom trailer to RT?

IMO, it is just plain dumb to have the vehicle connector not as close to the hitch ball as practical. The ball is the swivel point, which is where you want the hinge point in the wiring to be. I could hardly believe it when in another thread the topic of locating the connector came up and under the saddlebag is the designated spot. Just plain dumb. One of the very few truly dumb things the Can Am designers have done! :banghead:

I agree it's a dumb spot. But if you run an extension from there to the hitch close to the ball, but not close enough to get pinched. Then if and when you remove the hitch. The wire extension can be unplugged easily.

That's a good thought. That's why I'm going with it.[emoji106][emoji887]

Just keep in mind the movement in the swing arm. Make sure the wire is long enough at full droop. If you want to check that. Jack up the rear from the frame.
