• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Patch cable for Freedom trailer to RT?

Do they make a patch cable for extending cable on Freedom trailer. Where connector on RT is mounted. I can not make a right turn without pulling the plug out.

Odd. Did you extend the tongue of the trailer or something? Haven't heard of this issue from anyone else.

That's the one. With the connection made to underside of left side saddle bag compartment. Left turn fine, right turn pulls apart.

Well, I'm thinking that there's some additional length of harness up underneath that wasn't pulled out through the tongue. Either that, or it was assembled with the wrong tongue harness on it. You should have more than enough harness.

Well trying to get it back to dealer. Tiring to get more length on trailer was the dealer solution. I'm Just looking for a quick fix.

He did just getting back to him is the issue. Working to much and the hour drive to get it to him. Octane is a great dealership.

What you need is [h=1]Hopkins 11147975 4 Pole Square Set.

You can make an extension out of that. Call around to local trailer places and see if they have it in stock. Not likely but may be worth a few phone calls. [/h]

You just need to move the wiring from under the saddle bag to the trailer hitch, there is plenty of extra wire there.

IMO, it is just plain dumb to have the vehicle connector not as close to the hitch ball as practical. The ball is the swivel point, which is where you want the hinge point in the wiring to be. I could hardly believe it when in another thread the topic of locating the connector came up and under the saddlebag is the designated spot. Just plain dumb. One of the very few truly dumb things the Can Am designers have done! :banghead:
