Our 10 day old RT passenger heated grips don't work. So we bring it in and they say you must be in the seat for them to work. Well in the seat or not they still don't work. Anyway they tested them and they say the temp is 84 degrees on high. The front grips are 106 degrees on low and that can be too high sometimes here in Colorado.
Anyway, 84 degrees is useless when they're needed ... feels like nothing at all in the cold. Anyone out there know what their temps are on the passenger grips.
FYI. My wife and I use 2 Gerbing jackets directly off the battery. I RARELY turn (mine) the front grips on high ... gets too hot. So while the passenger grips don't put out enough heat my wife uses a pair of Gerbing heated gloves. All the Gerbing stuff is on 2 separate thermostats ... his and hers. At no time is anything diminished or seems under powered EXCEPT the passenger heated grips which run like a $2.00 watch ... very surprising considering all the fantastic engineering in this RT.
Any help or information is greatly appreciated.
We just love our RT-S!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for your help in advance,
Tony
