My wifes 2016 F3T has 91,000 miles and since we have slowed down we only put on about 8 to 10,000 miles per year. I perform the normal oil changes, tire changes, and other maintenance including brake pads, HCM filters, etc as needed (thanks BajaRon for the filters and brake pads). Over the last month she has had a check engine light come on a few times usually while idling around town, and it has gone away but in checking codes it showed P0106 having to do with the MAP sensor or air/fuel mixture.
I was going to schedule a service appointment, but decided to look at the air filter and checked my spreadsheet for the last time I changed it.
When I pulled the K&N filter one side was pretty dirty but the other side was clogged with dirt (we tend to have a lot of dry dusty roads) out west. Checking I also found that I had changed/serviced the filter a coupe of times but 44,000 miles was obviously way past when I should have changed it out. I had a spare filter so in it went and hopefully the code will stay gone. Note to self - 20,000 miles for air filter service
