• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Had my right hip replaced last Friday. I was home on Sunday!!! Yes, I have bruising and swelling. But the pain is more than manageable. I'm moving around extremely well on two crutches. And can already see the move to one crutch down the road in not too long a time.

I'm doing great!!! All systems GO!!! (probably too much info, huh?)

Thanks for all the encouragement going into this!! I really appreciated it. Rehab will be at home for a couple of weeks. Then, outpatient PT with a local outfit. I'm doing even better than I had hoped for at this point! Hope I continue to surprise myself as rehab continues.

I'll do updates ever once in a while. Mucho thanks to SpyderLovers!!

:thumbup::thumbup: We'll keep praying for your continued recovery. You should be back putting miles on the Spyder by Spring.

Hang in there with the rehab. You definately want to keep all those systems on the go! Good luck!

Mother in law had this done last fall.. amazing how she gets around now... though she doesn't ride a spyder.

Get well fast... Your riding season is mostly over up there anyway so good timing on the procedure on your part!

Please keep us updated.;)

Thanks for the update. I am glad to hear things went well for you, and wish you the best for a continued speedy recovery. No speeding on those crutches though. :D

Hip Surgery

:congrats:Listen to your therapist and you should do great, Have a good friend had hip replacement 8 mo ago and he is back riding his Concours.

That's good news. Sounds like you should be back to full speed before the snow melts up there in the north.

I am truly surprised by how well I am doing!! OK, drugs are a wonderful thing!!! But, pain meds or not, this surgery is really a techno marvel. That I am out walking the length of my driveway (100' +) and back, only 4 days since surgery is amazing!!! I walked the driveway again today too! So it wasn't a fluke.

So I really am doing great!!! I appreciate all your encouragement and good wishes!!! It's wonderful to feel such a part of SpyderLovers!!
