There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Original Spyder oil

I decided to switch back to the original BRP 5W40 Synthetic oil after trying the Royal Purple. Problem is finding the BRP oil - and finding a good price on it.

I managed to do both!

This is a good price - but shipping is a bit----.

I ordered a BUNCH of it (60 quarts to be exact)---- so I'm set for a few years of oil changes. With shipping it came to around $8.50 a quart - still $3-$4 less than most dealers are selling it for--- and most don't have it anyway.

This is NOT the 'blended' crap that BRP is pushing now.

Hope this is okay to post - I'm not trying to push this company as I don't know squat about them. I know I got my oil in 3 days and it is exactly what I ordered.

He's scared his dealer / BRP will reprimand him for not using their highfalutin oil. :D :D :D :joke: :joke:

Semi hijack --- anybody ever heard of Repsol? I understand it's among the best, but I only heard of it recently.

I've had a terrible smell ever since I started using the Royal Purple - and I mean from the very second I changed the oil and started it up!

After 1,000 miles with the RP oil , I suddenly have an oil dripping problem. Dime-sized purple drips after I park it. I've tried to find the leak source and narrowed it down to the lower front crankcase gasket near the starter. While I don't think the RP is responsible for the leak - as Brian said - I don't want to get any guff from my dealer - so I'm switching back to the BRP oil before taking it in for them to find the oil leak.

I want to use the recommended BRP oil that the dealers can no longer get - :dontknow:. I refuse to use the new blend they are pushing.

Dealer changed my oil on last service. It is still BRP but something better :dontknow:. They told me so. What do you think? "Old" BRP oil is better?

The NEW is a blend of oil and synthetic. According to the Spyder manual this does not meet the requirements. The OLD is 100% synthetic - which most will agree is better than a blend.

I would never consider a blend 'better' than a full synthetic.

hm....something is wrong with my dealer....:gaah:

My local dealer had it on sale today . .

. . . in gallon containers @ $32.99 ($8.25 a quart)
The quart containers were $9.99.

I picked up a gallon.

Castrol is still making their full syn R4 motorcycle oil which I believe meets all BRP Owner's Guide specs and is probably what BRP was putting in their full syn bottles. Hard to find and not cheap, but it is out there. ProformanceUSA carries it at $10.32/qt and ships free on orders over $50, so five qts ships free. There is a $2.50 P&H charge.

Not just your dealer my friend - many dealers are doing the same thing.

I send e-mail yesterday to owner of importer and service company for Slovenija. They don`t want to replace baterry under waranty if i dont bring :spyder2:to them. She replay on mail that she is on holiday..:dontknow::dontknow::dontknow: Distance to shop is about 150 miles. Spyder wont start without "extra outside help" and I refuse to drive it there in this sitution. Today i visit them with car and buy one new battery and i didnt forget to tell them to :cus:.:cus::cus:. I can`t understand that i was ok when buying a spyder and all accessories (abaout 23.000€) and now thay have problem for 140 €.... Really bad feeling....:(:(:(...
I own and menage 7 small companies and i never imagine to have such a negative attitude to clients. I must find another service in Austria or Italy because they are only one in Slovenija.
