Don't think so

My dealer tech said that the maintence manual that psi above 6000 was over a 100 psi.i do not have a shop manual to verify.

Because I'm a stubborn old guy, I just read through the oil pressure section of the mx manual and I think maybe the tech is thinking of some other engine. My post above that includes the oil pressure limits is the only reference to Max PSI in the section. Len is sure the expert here, I'm sure they will take care of you. Let us know the final fix.

Via dealer: "The more oil pressure the better. They also stated that some shift pressures can hit over 200PSI. They are saying its normal operation."

After watching it more closely now, it does vary depending on gear shifting to etc....but all is well.

My RT-S has started having the same problem that ocurred with yours. Also, I have the same gauge. Did you get a final answer as to whether it was the gauge, oil sending unit or low voltage to the gauge. Your information will be very helpful. Thanks!

Interesting thread. I am getting ready to text Len. I have a 2012 SE5 from cowtown and I just had the same thing happen to me tonight. As the RPM's increased, my oil gauge PSI went up to 100. It happened at first around 5K but now at 6K. But it doesn't do it all the time.

I haven't changed it. If the above answer from BRP is correct(and why wouldn't it be) the gauge does not go that high.​
