Anyone here added an oil pressure gauge? What gauge, & where?

I want to add an oil pressure gauge to my 2015 F3-S.

Anyone here done this?
What gauge did you choose, and where did you mount it? Pictures would be great as well. :)

I'd prefer an electric gauge to prevent the chance of leaks. I've used a lot of Auto-Meter gauges on my race cars, and I would like something really compact to look nice on the Spyder.

Also, I read that there's a second oil pressure test port on the engine. Anyone know the thread specs for that?

Thanks,
David

Yep, me. Works great, very interesting to observe pressure changes responding to various riding conditions. HCM pressure still on the To-Do list. Search is your friend.

Pics of my gauge installation.

I don't particularly like digital gauges, but I wanted something unobtrusive. This one is inexpensive, water resistant, and looks decent on the bike.

I milled a flat spot on the handlebar mount, drilled and tapped countersunk holes and used flathead SS screws to attach an aluminum plate.

The gauge mounts with 3M tape.

I checked the gauge before installation, and it's generally within 2-3 psi. It works well, and it allows me to see any changes over time.

Another member asked about this, so here are links to the parts I used.

The transducer mounts in the oil pressure test port at the front right of the engine. Route the wire to keep it away from exhaust heat. I coiled up and secured the excess just behind the right fog light.
Be aware, you'll spill several ounces of oil when installing, so have a pan ready, and check your oil level afterwards.
For power, I used the customer accessory circuit, which isn't active until you crank the engine.

I like the gauge, and it's really handy to tell when the oil temperature is up enough to use higher rpm.
