there is a lot of different patterns here for checking oil , so with my 990 .9 engine 2012 model , I usually push it out of the garage , start it up listen for any different noise , if nothing let the cycle warm up too one bar on the temp gauge , shut it off look at the dip stick and judge how much , when I see the oil line getting near the lower section of the stick it usually takes about 4 ounces , probably close too 1000 miles ridden , if it doesn`t show on the dip stick it is 7 ounces , using a measure funnel I picked up at auto zone ! { now when I do all of this the ground is level } I guess 1000 to 1500 miles for these

You are not getting your oil warm enough! The best, and most consistent method, is to check it at the end of at least a ten mile ride. Remember the 30 second idle time. This way, your Spyder oil will be ready when you are!
