• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Oil blow by

I hope BRP has done something to address this issue. I do not overfill my oil and I even run it a little low and I still get oil in the airbox.

My Spyder seemed to be running a little hotter this year (it has been a hot summer) so I took a good look at my radiator to see if it was getting plugged up with bugs. Look at the mess I found. I am kind of embarrassed I didn't see this before now. Although in my defense it is hard to see things with all of the plastic on.

A 1/2 inch piece of foam in the crankcase breather tube will stop the oil from getting in the air box.
Been using that for 17 thousand miles now [08] and the box stays dry.

I purchased a 2011 RTS SE5 about 4 weeks ago. I'm to have my 600 mile oil change and checkup this Saturday. I have a small oil drip on my garage floor more times than not. Not much usually just a drop or so. Enough to put a piece of cardboard under it every time I pull in. That's a pain! I talked to the mechanic today and he says that's common! On a brand new Spyder? He's going to check it out Saturday but is it the "nature" of the Spyder? I'm no mechanic so explain to me in plain English!! Please...

I have a 2010 RT AC SM5 with 19,000 miles and it does not leak a drop of anything. I would have the dealer look more carefully.:D

I'll try, Oil is [sometimes] pushed up from the crankcase though the breeder tube on the left side bottom of the air box, Then when enough is built up
the oil drips out of the weep hole bottom right side of the air box, Overfilling with oil will push out quite a bit.
Auto companies figured out how to stop that back in the 70's [pcv valves]
