• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

OFFICIAL SPYDERFEST POST -- FROM MOGANG

Oh yepi :yes:did I hear Sunday Breakfast I'm in. That will be great to get
me all settled in for a long nap for the trip home just set the cruse.:ohyea:
So now we just need to decide a location:dontknow:

Do we have to register if we can stop by for one day?

Our schedule won't allow us to make it up to Spyderfest for the entire time...:(...so, we are trying to adjust our schedules so we can come up for all (if not, then most) of one day (looking like it's going to be Friday).

I looked at the first posting and went to the Spyderfest site, but couldn't find any info on whether a person can stop by the vendor tent, etc., for a day. If you can, do you still have to pay the $50 per person fee to go in? If it's not $50 per person, is there a fee for going to the vendor portion? If so, what is the entrance fee?

Thanks in advance...just need to get the facts together so I can defend the cost of the trip (and to know how much I can spend once we get there)....;)

There are no fee's for vendor village.

Except what the vendors get when you buy something.

Don't worry about this. I can guarantee that no matter what your budget is; you'll go through the top of it, long before you're done shopping!!

Thanks!

Appreciate the quick reply and info...now to finish off my plans to get our schedules modified so we can swing by and blow our budget  ..I mean, stroll through Vendor Village, take in the sights, and checkout all the cool stuff that's available for us :ani29:-ryders....:doorag:

Thanks again, and we'll be seeing most of you at Spyderfest 2016!!!

We're In!

Wife and I finally got our bosses to ok the time off, almost. We will both have to work Wed. the 27th. But will be hitting the road late that day (around 9pm). This will be our fist long ride on my 2015 RT-S I bought 6 weeks ago. Google says it is just over 610 miles from home to Springfield. I have conformation for room at Lamplighter Inn. Home is SW MI. Anyone else leaving late evening Wed. from our area?

We'll be a few hrs ahead of ya. We plan to leave southern WI Wed morning. We're gonna stop about half way Wed evening and arrive in Springfield on Thur. am sometime. It's 550 miles for us but we don't wanna push it all in one day. We plan to take the secondary highways down and just enjoy the ride, with a few stops along the way. Getting there is half the fun. We don't ride the interstates unless we HAVE to. Bikes were made for two lanes....:p

Very excited to have just registered for Spyder Fest, this is going to be the first year we go, it's going to be amazing. I'm so excited for for this event. Can't wait to meet some new faces, and maybe see some old friends. Can't wait everyone.

We won't make it to Springfield this year. We decided to take a cruise this year instead. I'm looking forward to the cruise, but will miss Spyderfest. We both had a blast last year.

How do the vendor's prices at the event compare to their prices the rest of the year? Do they give good discounts like at other motorcycle swap meets? The wife and I want to outfit ourselves with heated liners and new outerwear. Also looking to get com units. Not sure if we should look for the best deals we can find now, or wait till we get to Spyderfest.

No need to wait for com gear. Contact "Motorcycle Dave" a sponsor here. Great prices on SENA units. There was a vendor, I believe Pitbull, that was selling BRP branded gear at extreme discounts. Like 50% off. Another vendor had discounted gear also. So bargains can be had. The other vendors were full freight, but usually threw in installs for free. Bring lots of CASH! No sales tax that way. I brought a lot of cash, still had to use credit card. LOL Tom :spyder:
