• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

OFFICIAL SPYDERFEST POST -- FROM MOGANG

The wifey and I will be virgins to the Spyderfest experience. We are curious on what goes on there, group rides, food, vendors entertainment or whatever? Previously we have only been to rallies of a few hundred people. So, what kind of attendance should ya'll expect? I assume some info will be coming in the mail since I didn't see that kind of info on the website. OH shoot, I better make some reservations too. Hope to make some new friends to add to our Spyder experience.

Think of it as a three-day party with about a thousand of your closest friends! nojoke

So glad you will be joining us. Don't know if the Lamplighter is fully booked or not, but I would call them as I know the Best Western doesn't have rooms available for the full time. Hopefully this week we will have a couple more hotels posted as Spyder Friendly.

Events, well MoGang has a planning meeting on the 9th. So more details will be posted after that.

The host will have some fun things to do at the hotels at night. There will be group rydes on Thursday and Friday. Friday night will be a very special surprise. Which I am sure the plans will be out of the bag way before SF. Casino night, auction with Spyder Bucks. Make sure you bring lots of $$ for vendor village!!! The vendors will be updated on www.spyderfest.com as applications are received and approved.

Since you are from IL I am sure you are well aware of what mid-west weather can do. One minute 70 degrees and sunny the next 55 degrees and raining or 30 degrees and snowing. So just make sure you have appropriate weather gear.

Let us know if you have any other questions!!

Joanie,
Are you guys still okay, with all of the flooding??

We're saying prayers for all of you!:pray:

We are good. Kev and I are on high ground. Some of our other spyder friends or their families might not be so lucky. I know that Patti McBride posted a picture of water right up to her mom's house. Mom was ok, but don't know about house.

Thanks for thinking of your midwest friends!!

Site Down???

Everytime I try to access the site it tells me it is unavailable. Is it down, overcrowded or something else.

Got it

Finally got it to work for me. Got registered and counting down the days. Headed to the Dragon and Smoky Mountains for a week of riding before I come to the Spyderfest. Got to make the best of my time if I'm coming that far. Going to be a great two weeks. Got to get to the Fest Wednesday so I can get in line for all the Farkels I plan on adding. This will probably be my first and last so I've got to make the best of it.

I'm getting it here. Hope you are now....

I'm so glad to see so many familiar faces coming back again this year. This year will be fantastic! MOGANG and PitBull are burning the midnight oil on event planning, games and rydes. More to come.

We are registered and have had reservations at the Lamplighter for some time now. We are really looking forward to seeing old friends and making new ones and getting as many Spyders squared away as we can.

f4

F4 Customs will be at the rally and we will have the F4 Windshields and Baker Air Wings Hope to see you there

I just registered at Best Western Coach House. No opening for April 27th, I reserved 28-30. I assume other host hotels will soon be listed. I would like to find one for the full stay without changing.

New Spyder owner (July 2015) looking forward to Spyderfest 2016.

Have you checked with the Lamplighter North. As of 2 days ago they still had all days available. Please let me know.

Hi Joanie,
Will Linda still be giving us the occasional update as to the amount of people that are registered?
Thanks!

Thanks, called the Lamplighter this morning and got a room for all the days I wanted. Excuse the large pic in previous post, I'm still learning how to use this board (?).

Thank you for understanding

To my fellow Spyderlovers

Thank you for being patient with MoGang at this time.

I know that everyone is wanting to know who is in the top 777. We are close to that number but I am (99.9%) sure that we have have not yet hit that number.

As much as I would like for SpyderFest to be my full time job, I don't think that Len would agree to pay me in wine, nor do I think the bank would take it for my house payment!!!:roflblack: Yeah I know wishful thinking on my part. So that 40 plus hour a week job, that pays the bills, gets a big chunk of my focus. So SF is my night and weekend job.

Kevin and I are headed to Springfield this weekend. I plan on sitting down with Vanessa and going over the list and making sure that the individuals who started and couldn't complete the registration on line but completed via mail or phone are put in the proper place on the 777 list.

Please let us know if you have any questions!!

Love to all and see you in April!!
