There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Would realy love to make it down for the Owner Spyder Event, i would love to go down in a group from my home its about 3700 km, fun when you are at least 2 Spyders.

Let me try and get some more details and we can nail that down. I wouldn't panic for hotel rooms just yet, thats part of the reason it took so long for them to give us a date as they were working with the local hotels. It's a 200 mile ride in so depending on what they have planned for Thursday we could leave in the morning of the 20th and be there before noon. If they have things planned then we could ride in on the 19th and then stay that night in Durango.

Me thinks the Host Hotel would be DoubleTree by Hilton, Big parking lot, banquet room & ya gotta remember the BRP brass won't be staying just anywhere.:D Hopefully they have a special group rate for us:doorag:.

So would most of you guys want to leave from ABQ the day before the event? If so we can make adjustments, nothing is set in stone right now.

What time does the registration and events begin on Wednesday? I for one don't wanna miss anything, 200 miles with windy roads, etc, etc could take a while for a large contingency to show up, but I don't really know since i have not traveled with more than a dozen spyders before.:dontknow: This is good to have a discussion on this now :chat:

did I hear film crew?:yes:

Got your email.... I'll be forwarding you the last email that went out to the Colorado group.
There will definitely be a group heading out from the Denver area, you are welcome to join us.

Sounds like fun. I had suggested meeting up with you around the Memphis area, but I expect to be getting to Memphis late Friday night before the event, where one of my brothers lives. He and I will then head out Saturday morning, meet up with another brother in Oklahoma City & try to be in Durango by Sunday night. (No, they don't ride Spyders, but we've done many bike trips over the years to Durango. Had a sister who lived there for about 25-30 years) I'll be riding in a couple of days before you. Doubt I can stay through the whole day Friday because of the number of miles to get back home before Monday's work week begins.

Wife and I are going to DC that week :(:(:( But we might hook up with you guys on the way back...;)

I guess it depends on the schedule of events. If there's nothing going on in Durango until the afternoon of the first day, I'd be fine with riding up there together that morning. But I'll do whatever the group wants. I'm spoiled--I live here. :)

Thanks G, your on my Christmas list............

I'm booked at the Knights Inn for the 19 to the 23rd.
I'll head south to Colorado from Saskatchewan through Montana and Wyoming. I'll have to see if the Can-Am Highway is the way to go!

Here's the deal as far as I know. They will still be setting up on the 20th but you will be able to check in at the Fairgrounds. They hope to have some sort of welcome ceremony that evening. The real party starts on Thursday and ends on Friday. There's really no real hurry to get there early on the 20th so I still think we should leave ABQ around 8am and head on in to Durango. Even if we went the long way there it would put us in Durando around 1pm and that would give us plenty of time to check in to our rooms and kick some tires. The short way would put us there by noon. :doorag:

Going to Cuba twice in one year! Ohhhh Yeahhhh...:doorag:

Glad not much is going on the 20th in Durango. It will make our ryde from Albuquerque the highlight of the day.

My vote is for the "short way"...

We reserved a camping kabin at the Durango KOA. Still deciding if we will do the southern route and ride in from Alb.

Just booked my room here. They had 43 rooms when I called in but to get the discount you have to book online. Not a bad price and I've never had a bad room from them. :doorag:
