Well, second winter has arrived and it is snowing. We have about 4 inches in the yard and unless it warms up and melts the Spyder is put away until it does melt. Some of the ski resorts have already opened and more are scheduled to open this weekend or next.

80 degrees and sunny here in Valley Springs AR.

It is going to become 30 degrees cooler in the next day or so. High 40, and low in the low 20's. The roller coaster is starting up. Still have lots of leaves on the trees. Color is dull on most.

Ski resort not open here yet but we are getting our 1st winter storm to the year.

Thursday 11/10/22

hyea:...The sky is clear and the sunshine is beautiful. The birds are singing their morning songs. Currently 58°F. ....:shemademe_smilie:

98% of the Indiana corn and beans are harvested. This will be a very good year for Indiana Farmers. Good news is welcomed by everyone. Now we can have a Blessed Thanksgiving with all the trimmings.
Yes, Thanksgiving is only 14 days away.

Today is going to be another great day at 73°F. Low of 47°F.
No rain till Friday.

Friday 11/11/22

....First off 'Happy Veterans Day'..

Today we have a big change in the weather, currently 49°F.
Yesterday was warm at 74°F and today the high will be only 59°F.:gaah:
High 59°F with some clouds and maybe a little rain shower.
Low of 28°F. A 10% chance of getting some snow showers.

Woke up to one inch of the white stuff. That's snow!!

By 3:30 PM it has all melted away. Nice to see the greens again. :bowdown:

For those who are keeping score...this is the earliest it has snowed since we moved here in May 2019. This will be our fourth winter.

Weekend Weather News

:gaah:....Well today my local area received over 2" of snow. Currently 30°F and dark sky. It was a very wet snow but pretty to look at on the ground. This is the first snow of the season.

Today's numbers are 32°F and 24°F.
Maybe get some more snow showers on
Sunday.

Sunday's high 40°F with some sunshine, low of 19°F.

The ground was white.
Went back inside and closed the door and the drapes.

High today in the desert S.W. will be 66. Low overnight will get down to 40. There is no wind and there are no clouds. Later in the week we will get back to our seasonable highs of just over 70 degrees. Stay safe..... Jim

Monday 11/14/22

:chat:...Well another Monday and Sunshine, currently 41°F.
I received over 2.5 inches of snow. Now most of it has melted away. It was a pretty snow and glad we had what we got.

Today it's 41°F with some clouds, low of 29°F.
Calling for some snow showers tonight and tomorrow morning.

Unseasonably cool here - high of 64 and low of 37. No precipitation, but we are in a severe drought. Did get some rain last week for the first time in months.

Trust me, that is not a complaint, it is great riding weather. I’d much rather put on a jacket than be too hot.

Currently 35°F with clouds.

Today's high 39°F with clouds, maybe get a little rain shower. Low of 29°F. Stay Safe and Warm.

....Welcome to my local area weather news, currently 33°F. Going to be about the same as yesterday. Clouds and cold temperatures are staying for the time.

Thanksgiving is only 8 days away. I hope you have your plans in place. I noticed that the Food Prices have jumped up a wee bit from last year.

Today's high 34°F with clouds, low of 26°F.

...Starting out the day with very chilly temperatures, currently overcast skies and 27°F. This is the season for Thanksgiving and Holiday celebrations.

High today of 34°F with lots of clouds.
Low about 23°F.

Say Mike, Don't know about you but I'll ski till I can't. There is a guy at Mt. Rose who is well into his 80's. He is slow but SMILING.....

Currently 65 degrees here in the desert S.W. Heading for a high of 72 today. The overnight low will be in the mid-40s. Humidity is 18%. The wind is calm and there are no clouds. Like a lot of the country, it is unseasonably cool. We're checking in at about 5 degrees below normal. Still, not bad. I have ribs doing a slow cook in the oven. I turned the furnace off and am using the residual oven heat to keep the house warm and comfortable (and smelling good). After 3-4 hours in the oven, the ribs will get finished off on the BBQ. Yummmm!! Stay safe..... Jim

:agree: .... I just saw a TV interview done at Sugarbush Vt., they spoke with a guy ( 86 yrs.young ) who said He can still do the Black diamond trails, but He does them slower now. ..... I developed some issues with my right leg over the summer, so I have some concerns about this years sking :banghead: .... The BUSH opens Sat.... so I'll soon find out about my Skiing future - wish me luck ..... Mike ..............PS ..I just heard about the snow storm they are having in Buffalo NY ( near Niagra Falls ) ... predictions are for 3 to 6 FEET of Lake effect snow :gaah::roflblack:
