• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

November and riding!

We have yet to hear what flavor ice cream called out to you...
We've got a place up here that sells a coffee/peanut butter ice cream shake that is worth almost ANY detour! :2thumbs:

79 degrees and loving it over here! The wife and I needed to run to the grocery store for some odds and ends for dinner and took the spyder. 75 miles later, we returned home with the groceries. Forgot to mention...store is only 3 miles from the house!

Yes I know what you mean. I can see Braums from my house. ;)
Lol

There is a place here called "orange leaf" best dang raspberry cheesecake frozen yogurt EVER!!
I don't eat a lot of real ice cream. Dang doctor doesn't like it on my Heart Healthy diet. Haha

Hope you will be able to say the same thing in Dec. and Jan, about the ride for ice cream.:spyder2:

That's what is so odd about where I live. It can be 30 tomorrow and near 80 the next day. So I can see riding in all the months. Some days, just a bit colder than others. :)

It's not in the 70's up here in the north, but I'm still hanging in there and still riding. I took the spyder to work earlier this week on a cold morning. It was 27 degrees. With the heated gear and heated grips on high, I managed to stay comfortable. I usually ride until it snows. I've even rode in snowy conditions, but at that point it gets a little unsafe to be on the spyder and is time to park it for the winter.

It's nothing new for all you folks south of here to ride a lot in Nov. It is virtually unknown for me to ride then.

I have had about 10 rides this November, with a nice 120 mile one today & another longish one planned for tomorrow.

It has been 40 - 48°F on these rides & 2 things have kept me warm:

Heated liner & gloves
Those wing things that attach below & to the side of the large touring screen.

Here's hoping for a few more rides this year, but I'm not holding my breath.

Taking the wheels for a spin today after lunch; we've got some frost to get off of everything, and then the temps will be up around 50!:yes:

Today was a great day for a tide! It turns out that the Missus needed some boxes of facial tissues, so off I went! The temperatures peaked at 55 degrees, so the weather at this late stage of our season was a non-issue...
50 miles later; she had what she needed, and I got out of the house for a while!:yes::yes:

I was kinda busy around the house, did some yard mowing, tree trimming, stuff like that. I did, however, take time to ride BR1 over to my local Harley Davidson dealer for free breakfast tacos and coffee. This Harley crowd seem to be a little different...young to middle age. They all look the Spyder over and many ask the usual questions and say "we will be there one of these days". This is to response to my answer to their question "Why did you buy it?" I say so I can ride until I am 90 or so.....They all agree and no "hoots" or the tri-cycle crap.

Their attitudes changed when HD came out with the Tri-Glide and several were there...so the three wheel jokes and pokes are gone...ha ha

The tacos were tasty....they did get a little testy when I packed six tacos and three sodas in my trunk...ha ha (just kidding)

:spyder2:

After all that talk about ice cream I just had to go out and get some:clap:

It is a nice 78 degrees here and no wind. GOD BLESS TEXAS! :roflblack::roflblack:

Although, I put over 50 miles to get that ice cream.. Figured I should take advantage for when I am complaining of how cold it is in a few weeks. Lol

Hummmm.. 50 miles for a Ice cream .. However how about 2,250 miles for a hamburger.
(Owners Event in LA, CA )

We do ride, locally about 60 miles for a Tom's Burger in Dade City, Fl at least once a month.
