NOT happy with BRP

I'd like to hear straight from him that he hasn't sided strictly on the side of BRP.

I think this board has stricken things before that have been against BRP to save face.

I say let the people be heard, but I don't know the owners take on this?

I know its hard to run the best Can Am board on the web and allow freedom of speech.

Perhaps that is why he doesn't post much?

And maybe this is my last post, but I've seen it over and over on other boards where the board is controlled by those on the side of Corporation more than the people.

Personally I don't think I could say that "inside information" from a corporation is worth more than siding w/ my fellow riders.

And before you say I'm out of line, let me say, you don't know me and you don't know what Ive seen of websites and major corporations going to battle. This is all sad. :(

Hey Snoopy

You have to know Lamont to know that he is pretty much a straight up guy and speaks his mind.

Cruzr Joe

I'll say this. I don't know you Snoopy. But I do know Lamont pretty well. The only posts I have seen removed on Spyderlovers are those that have violated the policies that Lamont has adopted for this board. His board. Namely Politics or non-work-friendly items. The only post I recall seeing deleted about BRP was one calling for a class action suit and Lamont rightfully locked it in my opinion.

Obviously, you don't know me either, but let me assure you that I have zero love for BRP. None. Nada. But I do have a love for Spyderlovers and for my friend Lamont. He is one of the most fair people I have ever met.

So I disagree with you. I don't think we "need to hear straight from Lamont" (to paraphrase) regarding how he runs this board. I think it is a good testament to his fairness that this thread is alive.

I've been here on SL for a long time. I think Lamont has enough history of fairness,,, in practice,,, here that he owes no explanation to you or anyone else.

You get to enjoy this board free of charge. That should be enough IMO. :doorag:
well said!!!:agree:

Bill,
You're already in a hole... stop digging! nojoke
Lamont plays it straight in here, and he owes NOBODY any explanation for what he does...:gaah:

When you see threads like this, it surely must equal bad-days at BRP's public-relations department. nojoke

I have watched the perception of Spyders slowly but surely decline in the minds of their potential buyer's market.

Lately I hear more and more questions related to whether I have had problems with mine like they have heard happens with Spyders -- which means a lot of people are hearing more bad-things about Spyders than good-things.

When a company's product perception turns bad, it is simply not good.

It is apparent to me, BRP has a major image problem now; whether entirely deserved or not. This perception will eventually, if it has not already, have a noticeable affect their future sales; which is too bad if that happens.

I like my Spyder despite its quirkiness... (No... not Miley Cyrus quirking...)

Let's hope someone at BRP turns this ship around immediately.

I read the board a lot (probably more than I should). Also feel that I am pretty knowledgeable about what has been going on as well as currently. Also not afraid to speak out--even when it is not always popular. IMO: items are not being deleted that are not favorable to BRP. People do not always agree--but seem to be able to have their say without being deleted. I have seen threads closed--but not deleted by the admin. Deleted threads are usually done by the OP of the discussion.

A lot of people are not going to agree with you above, but I don't think you are going to get deleted or banished for what you just said.

PS: we really don't want to see you leave. We were just getting to know you.

:agree: with everything you said. Well, maybe the PS is stretching it a bit.

When you really like your Spyder. Having to defend it does wear thin pretty fast.

Initialy my inclination WAS to defend my purchase when addressing ney sayers. A rather natural response. Who wants to admit they may have spent a bundel and got less (reliability/support) than was advertised.

It didn't take long for me to understand it was time to stop defending and simply tell the truth about what my actual experience has been(putting my pride aside). After all, if BRP sees no need to address my/and others problems. Why should I defend them.

When people ask me. Is that yours? Yes sir/mam! How do you like it? Love it!!

It's not until the questions become more probative than that, that I find it necessary to go into any detail regarding the good and the bad points. Pointing out the good is where I always start. As for the bad. I simply tell the truth. As 'I' know it.

BRP left me no choice.

:agree: That's actually all that you can (or should), do; tell the truth. :2thumbs:

Bob,

Perhaps you missed my point. The only time I was not telling the truth, was when, by omission, I was defending BRP. It was only after their lack of interest in specific problem areas that I stopped omitting.

No... I'm pretty sure that I got your point...
When I'm asked about my bike (The 2010); I would always talk about the feeling of safety and stability on the road, the comfort, the standard features that put it a full cut above anytjhing out there...
I'd then say that I've had some issues with the bike... (going into detail; ONLY if pressed for them!), but that they didn't detract from my overall satisfaction. :D

What I'm certainly NOT liking; are the shots being taking at Lamont right now... :gaah:

If something 'does not' detract from my overall satisfaction. I don't see it as a problem worth mention. We're all different in how we see things. What works for one may not work for another.

Seriously! With all the BS you post Snoopy, that is surely evidence that this board is not censored to favor BRP. or anyone else....and then again who cares if it is. This is merely a diversion in life and anyone who gives it any more credence than that is out of their mind. I agree that if BRP made a promise they should keep it. IF that employee had the grease to make that promise, and we don't know that they did. I find it hard to believe that other than vulgar content, Lamont is running around behind scenes deleting all of yours, or anyone else's posts. If he does, then look out he may start censoring all of your Gun Slinging posts too. :roflblack:I imagine that Lamont doesn't post much here for two reasons, this Board belongs to us, and he has a life!

IF,

Lamont was so inclined to pull posts. Many of mine and others would be floating in cyber space......and they are not.

GIVE THE MAN A BREAK

From you comment it appears that you really don't know me. I don't take sides other than what is right. I've worked behind the scenes with BRP on the members behalf for years and continue to do so but I don't post that here because I'm not looking for praise from you or the members. Don't think because I don't post on some of these issues that it's because I don't care or I'm in BRP's pocket, I'm not and BRP knows that I value my reputation more than money can buy.

Do you ever get into threads where you just keep shaking your head as you read some posts because you just can't come up with a better response?

I really don't fathom how this went from questioning BRP's commitment to the customer, to bringing Lamont's personal integrity into question.

I could write volumes about Lamont on this subject as we have been very good friends since the 1980's. For some it would be preaching to the choir, others would not believe a word of it anyway.

But Lamont doesn't need me to defend him. He is a big boy. So I won't.

But let me say just this one thing.

On what other forum can you personally attack not only the moderator, but the Builder, Owner, Operator, and the guy that makes it all happen; and, not only is the post and thread still here and open, but that poster has not been vaporized? I must admit, I do not know if I would be as gracious if I were in Lamont's seat.

IMHO, this is one thread that needs to stay on target. Venting publicly on the manufacturer of a product that isn't meeting your expectations is one thing. Personal attacks on the integrity of the one who makes it all possible is a very bad idea.

Thanks, just wanted to hear it straight from you, not just some pirate that doesn't like me. Lol
