Is WOT testing easy to explain?? Thanks Gary
Basically it's when you hold the throttle wide open and press the start button. It allows you to check the cranking amps w/o starting the engine if you think your battery is bad or dead. do not recommend doing this unless it's your last resort. I wish I didn't even know about it. :sour::sour::sour: There's a thread on it if you do a search for dead battery or something similar.
It is the throttle positioner on most, althought there are other failures. The way I understand it the positioner is calibrated to the throttle body during manufacture, and is neither adjustable or available separately. I can't be sure of that, but replacing the throttle body is the service bulletin prescribed repair. What exactly is failing on the throttle bodies and why cant it be repaired rather than replaced?
I have yet to find a picture here on SL of what this looks like?
Since I have a 2011 might it be good to order one and have it handy?
