I know this isn't 100% Spyder related but I just got done reading an interesting story about the NHTSA (which a lot of SpyderLovers have been encouraged to report steering problems to) and the Toyota sudden acceleration problem. Reading the article, it turns out the NHTSA uses their own criteria to determine which vehicles get grouped into it's investigation and they apparently discounted hundreds of claims because they narrowed their focus to specific instances of sudden acceleration. It wasn't helped by Toyota also narrowing it's data on the sudden acceleration problem down because of their assertation that the vehicles just couldn't behave that way.
