• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Been looking over your shoulders for a while now and really appreciate the honest, friendly input on anything Spyder.

While on a visit to family in MI stopped at a Harley dealership with my son-in-law saw their trikes and remembered how much I really wanted a trike. Slow at work, went online and started looking at all things trike and landed on Can-Am's. This and other forums convinced me that I should at least try lining up a test drive. Did and fell in love. What suprised me was that the wife went along with the idea, actually toying with the idea of getting her motorcycle endorsement. The reason this is significant is the simple fact that my last motorcycle ride ended in intensive care! She made me sell that one

Long story short, I bought a RT-S, SE-5 in Timeless Black yesterday, new in the box 2010. Having GPS installed and expect to pick it up next week. It's going to be a long, long weekend. I know there is going to be a learning period but I'm really looking foreward to spending a lot of time on the hiways and byways. Should be much easier than before, I retire in three weeks.

Believe me, if I have any questions I know all I have to do is ask. Will be looking for fellow Tidewater VA riders.

:congrats: on your new :spyder2:. The RTS is a different ride from a 2-wheeler--but it does not take to long to get it. 250-500 miles seems to be the learning curve. On turns & such--less input is better than more input. See how little you can move the bars when turning. As you mentioned, you will find the members and the website to be very helpful in all things :spyder2:.

Welcome and all I can say is that you and yours are gonna feel like you were reborn.

:congrats: I also have a RTS Timeless Black 3 months and 3,600 miles later
and still love it. Happy rideing.

I rode my RT today with a friend and we put about 140 miles on a wonderful ryde on florida backroads. That put my RT at a little over 600 miles so off to the dealer next week for the initial service. You should consider signing up for the spyders in the smokies gathering in a couple of weeks. You are very close and this would be an opportunity to meet other:D folks. I've only had my Rt for about 3 weeks and I can tell you it has been total bliss. An extra plus is that my wife enjoys too!

I came from Harleys and BMW's and find this bike incrediable.

:congrats:welcome You're going to love the RT fellow Virginian. Retired four years ago and this is my first motorcycle. Wife and I love it. I was in your area back in July and road the RT through Gloucester. Neat historic town. You should try to make the Spyder rally in the Smokeys.

Welcome Don! I also just joined the forum a few days ago. I purchased an RTS in May. My wife and I have put 3000 miles on it since then. I live in Chesapeake now but before that I lived in Mathews for 20 years. So I'm very familiar with Gloucester. We should get together for a ride.
