No, I'm not giving up on the Spyder. Just got it, and am enjoying it quite a bit. I won't get into the "acclimation period" discussion, but suffice it to say with 50+ years of 2 wheel experience, I got used to it pretty quickly. Now I'll have to see if I fall over next time I get on my bike ;-)
Anyway, I'm in the Draconian state of Pennsylvania, and bought my Spyder used from a private individual in Virginia. The point being, PA wants a pencil tracing of the VIN number to process the title. Here's where I give up.
I've been under this thing for a half hour tonight, trying desperately to locate the VIN. Yes, I know that it's on the sticker on the swingarm. And yes, I know that it's supposedly stamped on the right side of the lower frame. But by all that's good and holy, I cannot locate a stamped VIN under this thing.
So, can anyone enlighten me with any better information / graphics / pictures as to the VIN location beyond the tiny drawing of the RT in the manual with an arrow pointing to the front wheel area? Any and all help would be most gratefully appreciated.
