• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Has anyone ordered or installed the vented winshield on the RT ? I am considering placing an order with Len at Cowtown. Any information will be appreciated. Thanks

I am going to buy as well, the windshield and the adjustable side vents. Is there a cost benefit by ordering from Cow Town? I actually have babout $2,500 put away for more toys so I was also thinking about the calber jacket and pants, chrome foot support, chrome windshield support and maybe some gloves.

I am not aware of a cost benefit from Cow Town, just good people to do business with. All my mods come from there, and I trust the techs to do a good job.

Doesn't BRP have a couple of different vented shields for this year?
I know about the one with the big hole in the middle: with or without the ability to direct the airflow.
Don't they also have one that has some smaller vents to the sides that line up with holes in the mounting bracketry?

Vented Windshield

I had the new BRP vented windshield installed on my brand new 2013 RT-S. It looks sharp and the vent can be left open in several positions. :ohyea:

I just picked up the BRP adjustable vented windshield and the BRP adjustable lower wind deflectors. Should have time to install them in the next few days.

I like the look of the adjustable vented windshield, which in the summer should be a great help, but I have to admit I miss the extra width of the 2010 windshield.

I agree totally. I went through a little rain coming back from Corbin in Ormand Beach, Flarda. Had I had my 2010 RT windshield, I wouldn't have experienced a drop. That wasn't the case with the 2013.

To me the vent looks just like the goldwing vents. You can go to clearview windshields and buy the vent for $70.00 and cut it yourself. http://clearviewshields.com/shop/manufacturer.php?id=65
