• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Anyone with a 2024 or newer (large screen display) installed a Carpuride and Have sound?

Has anyone been able to install a Carpuride or similar device onto a 2024 or newer Spyder with the new large display and been able to get sound through the bike system?

I tried bluetooth pairing with the bike (both as a phone and headset), with no luck. I tried a USB bluetooth dongle as well, but the "media" selection seems to only do BT PHONES, and it does not play through the USB connection.
Google indicates that the bike has a 3.5mm input, but I can't find one anywhere, and the bike does not seem to have an app that would play it (no Aux selection).

Any ideas appreciated, I'm amazed that Can Am does not do Android Auto, and I am not a fan of iPhones, so I can't see myself making a step backward from my Samsung.

The Operators Guide for my 2024 Spyder RT does not have any reference to an audio input plug.
I have copies of the Operators Guide for some older Spyders, and found references to an audio input jack in these:

2023 Spyder RT Operators Guide
2022 Spyder F3 Operators Guide
2016 Spyder RT Operators Guide
2014 Spyder RT Operators Guide

Some of them have the connector in the "glove box" in front of the handlebars, and some have them in the front trunk (aka frunk).

I don't have the Operators Guides for the other years, but my guess would be that the 2017 thru 2021 probably have them.

There have been a few posts about using a Wireless Carplay device connected to the USB port in the top case. Apparently they will allow Android Auto phones to connect to the wireless device, which then connects to the bike using the Apple Carplay protocols.

If you don't have an Acrobat PDF version of your operator's guide, you can download one here:

I just bought a '25 RT Limited. The salesman told me I could pair my phone to the navigation, but he never told me that i needed a bluetooth unit and helmet. Had i known that, because I do not use a helmet I would not have not bought the bike... I should have done my home work first. I was not happy and they knew that.
I bought a bluetooth unit without the helmet. I have an iPhone. Once I got that paired, I turned on the bluetooth, went into preferences, and connected the head set. Then I hit Carplay. After that, you hook up your USB - not before. I can get my music and I can hear through the speakers, but I cannot hear the voice navigation because it goes to the bluetooth helmet speakers.

With the differences and changes in the '24 and '25 bikes, I know there are a number of not so happy campers out there, but I live in a State where there are no helmet laws. GOOD LUCK

That's more of an Android issue than it is a CAN-AM issue.

There are bikes that have Android Auto (Goldwing, some Harleys) and AA is no different than using carplay in practice. Can Am selected not to implement AA, there is no technical reason whatsoever.

Sounds like you already bought a headset, but there is a "dongle" that you can buy that fools the bike into thinking a headset is attached. It is talked about here:
. Can Ams implementation is questionable at best, I had a 2019, and honestly the system is not much better than the old BRP Connect junk IMHO. Thanks

Thanks. I bought the PDF version and noticed the manual had no mention of a 3.5mm plug. Not the first time google's AI is wrong, but wanted to ask and make sure others had not found one hidden.

I did find a workaround within Carpuride where I think I have what I need. Will have to see if it holds up, but sound is much better to headset than when I used the bike's system for radio.

Thanks for the feedback

You may be right. In practice there may be no difference, except that Android Auto is only supported on a few motorcycle models, while Apple Carplay is available on a lot more motorcycles.

And to be honest, CAN-AM's initial "support" for Apple Carplay was horrible. My 2024 Spyder supposedly came with Carplay support, but it didn't actually work until I downloaded and installed a software update several months after I bought my Spyder.
Even my salesman was surprised when I brought my Spyder in to the dealership and mentioned Carplay, and he asked me to show it to him. So he and a couple other employees went out to the parking lot and I showed it to them.
