New toy

A few years back, I thought I could get by without having a tractor around my property. I sold it and all the implements and used the money to buy a zero turn mower, a large 2 stage snow-thrower and pay some bills. After about 6 months, I knew I made a bad decision. So I've been wanting another tractor but not quite as big as the one that I sold. I found one about three houses down as the people are moving to Florida and no longer need a tractor. This should be just about perfect for me, though I would like to get a front end loader for it eventually. This'll get me by until then. It comes with a nice assortment of implements too so I'll be able to do some bigger yard projects and put in a BIG garden this spring. :thumbup:

The trailer is a nice bonus that I can use to haul our Spyders, if necessary.

I'm hoping to pick it up by Saturday.

That's some nice assortment of equipment that comes with it. +1 on getting a front end bucket. We used to have a similar Kubota when we had our horse here. Made manure duty a little easier. Now I also have a big zero turn mower. For us, it has turned out to be great!! I blast through mowing our 2+ acre field in 1/3 the time it used to take me. But whenever we leave here, we're going to have to get rid of a ton of equipment too.

How convenient that you found just what you need so close by!!!

We have a Kubota M6500 4wd that is used daily. Set up for winter with front loader and 7' 2 stage snow blower, it keeps the manure carried and the snow moved. The heated cab really spoiles me when "the hawk" visits.
This diesel tractor is extremely reliable. Even at below 0F temps, it has never failed to start. Kubota has done a great job with Ag tractor line. I'm certain you'll love yours.
You gonna let Deb drive it?

They make a great line of tractors -- got one many years ago and runs like a champ - although now I do my lawn with a zero-turn and the Kubota stays a few miles away on a farm.

My neighbor rode his John Deere down to my place as a few of us were removing some trees that came down from a tornado and told me that 'I should have gone green'--- hinting that JD was better.

I had him pop the hood on his 3cyl JD Diesel---- and then kindly pointed to the KUBOTA engine that was inside.......

BTW--- most of them are made right here in the US--- in Georgia.

You can really beat the snot outta them and they keep running.

My zero turn mower is a Kubota also. :thumbup: This will be my third Kubota tractor and every one has been great. My first was a 20 HP B series and the second was a 35 HP Grand L series. I never should have sold that Grand L. :banghead: Debbie told me the condition on getting this one is that I can't ever sell it.

McCormick Cultivision

I used to have to store my Buick at a large Public Storage place. One night I was putting the car away when I saw a guy there with a McCormick Cultivision Tractor. I believe it was like from the early 50's. The Cultivision's steering wheel and seat are off to the side so you can see where you are driving. He let me take it for a spin around the building. It was kind of funny the next day to asked some people I know, "Guess what I drove last night?" Of course they didn't guess right.
The last thing I thought I would be driving in St. Louis City at 1:00 in the morning.
