• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New Side panels

hmmmm, almost $1000 in parts to take care of the heat problems on the ST, wonder how much in labor for the dealer to do it for me? sigh.

If you have all the parts in hand, should take no more than two hours. And that includes applying the new CanAm decals.

It is really a piece of cake to do. Nothing about the parts swap is rocket science.

Carl

Finally got the new side panels installed

Thought I share some pictures of the latest mod to our STS.

Thank you Carl for all your assistance and feedback.
Had Greater Vancouver Powersports do the install. Am happy with the end result.

Benggolf that looks mighty good. Proud of you for taking that leap of faith. ;)

We took another ride of 263 miles and I must say I think there is a definite improvement in the cooling. But the true test will be when things warm up. We shall see, we shall see.

I so want to order some of the new 2014 air-flow panels.....but just not trusting the 2013ST just yet....if I put 2000 + miles on with no issues...I'll purchase a set....thinking about going with the black ones...for some contrast

Thank you for the compliment Carl. After performing Service Bulletin #2013-9 and seeing improvements, I was more inclined to to this mod. I figured an additional $900.00+ was worth the upgrade to look like a 2014 model anyway. ;) You can imagine what it will cost us (in depreciation alone) to switch to a 2014 STS.

All is well right now and hope she will remain reasonably cooler than before when summer rolls around.
Now I have more faith in BRP!

Now I have a little more faith in BRP.Now contemplating on doing the exhaust wrap and fuel tank insulation.

Did you have your dealer perform Service Bulletin #2013-9 yet? If not, you should soonest possible as
I definitely noticed it ran a lot smoother and cooler after the service.

yelp...had the service bulletin done...road about 400 miles last Saturday...ran real smooth....seemed cooler to the touch.....we will see...ever hopeful...I want this ST to run right...good...cool...

Looks really sharp, I can't wait to do mine. I'm stopping by my dealers Monday (2 hours away) on my trip to Yuma. When they did my service a couple weeks ago they found the old screws the service called for replacing had fallen out, LOL but of course, along with my Belt Guard. I'm stopping by to have them install the new screws and belt guard and will stop by the Parts Department with the list of parts to get them priced in black. I have a white bike and, like Flamingo Babe, think it'll look great with the black panels. I'll let you know what they quote as far a cost ... my husband and I will be doing the install. :yikes:

Thank you for the compliment. I took photos of a 2014 RSS at the Abbotsford Motorcycle Show. Here's what a back and white combo will look like.

Should that first part number 250000069 be 250000079 instead or am I missing something?

Missing "Can-Am" Decal

The dealer ordered the parts exactly as listed, but we received only 1 decal under[TABLE="class: cms_table_MsoNormalTable, width: 393"]

Am not sure if this part number consists of 2 decals which means BRP short shipped us or
you will have to order 2 decals of this part number instead.

What is your experience on this Carl?

Opps, quantity should be two but the price shown is for two pieces. Sorry about that. :(

Carl

Anyone get any kind of price break for making such a large order?

Wife told me I should do this, but just seems awfully expensive.
