• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

 ok ive put this out many times, seems the dealers dont tell most the time, frist you need to check the battery cable ,all fusess, relays, they vibrate loose if they do limp mode, you also need to know tuching the brake even lightle will put you in limp mode.i check mine every 500 miles and yes ive found loose relays and battery loose.if you go into limp mode you can take out the key and waite for 5 t0 10 minets and it will reset.i dont know much but what ive said here i got from this form, and ive had no bad things go wrong with my spyder,so a little mantince on your part could keep you from ever seeing limp mod:shocked::chat::shocked: i hope i may have helped some one so ride like the wind and have fun.:2thumbs:

Thanks for the tips. My dealer did tell me not to ride the brake, but nothing else. I have about 700 miles on my spyder now after a couple of weeks ownership and noticed the fuses and relays in the frunk were loose. I pushed them back in. So far no limp modes or other issues to deal with except for one HID headlight that went out because of a loose connection that was fixed at the dealer.

Thanks and I agree with all the above. I completed my oil change over the weekend. The positive cable was loose.

thanks for the hijack itll give moore time for moore to see this thread.:chat: could help some of are brothers and sister of the spyder hood.:spyder:

I have to admit I am SERIOUSLY negligent in keeping track of fuses and relays(like where are they anyway?? what's a relay look like?) :opps::opps: But I have a wonderful group of wrenches at Cowtown!!!:2thumbs: and they keep me out of most problems. :opps::ohyea:But this advice is really good and I WILL check my fuses and I guess the relays are there in the fuse box too??? If not where are they??? Anyway thanks for the info!!!:2thumbs:

yes relays are in the fuse box they are the bigger ones, and they do vibrate loose ive found them loose many times, push them in.im not sure on the rt but i have one box in the front teunk ,and one box in under the seat.that battery cable ive found the pos. loose many times too.some riders put some sort of thing in the box cover to help push aginst the fusses and relays so they cant come out so easy.glad to help.:chat:
