• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

took it back to dealership, had alignment checked out, they say it's good.
said its me,not the spyder.
did a lot of research, did all the things people recommend, loosen grip relax.
thinking about taking it somewhere and try laser alignment.

Hi Mike! :welcome:
:congrats: on finding both a GREAT bike... and us!
It takes some time to get used to the Spyder's handling traits, but it's nothing that is insurmountable. nojoke

Here's to lots of Miles and Smiles!!

:2excited::welcome::congrats: Someone from Washington will chime in where to go for the laser alignment. Tom :spyder:

For some like me the Spyder was a major learning curve.I rode 2 wheels for 40 years and it took me at least 1000 km to get the feel for the Spyder.Just take your time it,ll come to you.

Thanks bob, hopefully I will figure it out,or it might be the worst money I ever spent.
i won't give up yet though.
:roflblack: That is EXACTLY what I thought about my 2010 RT, while riding it home... I was positive that I had just made a $25,000 mistake!
I was hopping around in my lane just like a toad on a hotplate! nojoke Finally; I remembered that BRP also built Ski Doo snowmobiles. If they could get down a trail in a straight line; so could this thing... I lightened up my "White Knuckle Death Grip" on the bars, and the Clouds parted...

Welcome and it does take time...

Welcome!!! It took me a bit also to get used to the Spyder, I found at first I was trying to oversteer instead of just guiding the Spyder. Once you get used to it, its a very relaxing ride!

Be Safe

Mike, there is a Spyder Club in Spokane. We are in our 4th year and we would be happy to help you. We meet the 3rd Wednesday of the month normally at the Roundtable Pizza in the strip mall on the corner of Sprague and Sullivan kinda next to Harbor Freight. When I can I will PM you a contact number of our president. We have a group ride at least once a month plus some others. Hope to hear from you!! Showie

Welcome, we will be in Spokane in June to align Spyders. We would be happy to check your Spyder for you, if it is in spec you would not be charged. If you are interested send me a private message and I can get you the information.

welcome

Congrats on your new Spyder...Squared Away did my alignment and they do great work if you can wait til June.

Check your air pressure....it makes a lot of difference in how your scoot handles. Put 25 in front and 30 in the rear, ride a few miles, let out two pounds, ride and see how it goes. Find your sweet spot....it is different for different folks. I run 25 front, 30 in the rear as I like a firm ride and Mr.Cognac handles great.....good luck.

:spyder2:

Welcome welcome....

To both the spyder world and this most informative site. Great choice..congrats..!! :2thumbs: I have same year RS. 300 miles is a good start but may take a couple hundred more. There are other mods you can do but start with the tire pressure 15 to 20, I run 17lbs. make sure, as best you can, that both fronts are the same. I run 28 in the rear. After you master the handling you can think of the other stuff....
