There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I like it. Looks like back to an inline 4 cylinder. Smooth, quiet, and fast, I am betting.
I also do not like the back top trunk. That can go away as far as I am concerned.
Not going to run and buy one though. Darn! I need more years and more money. They keep introducing good stuff. :yes::yes::yes:

Nothing screams the 80's like a Bimota. :bowdown:
I had one of the last CB750/4's & absolutely loved it; then was not so impressed with the early Bol D'or's... and while this retro re-release looks pretty good for what it is, I couldn't help but spend most of those intro vids looking for more of the 'new' retro CB1100's you can see in the background!! This 'latest' or revised CB1100 re-release looks even more interesting than the last version, especially the CB1100EX - I can only hope Honda releases them here in Aus too! 
I reckon that there's a very good chance that I could be tempted onto one of them as a long distance tourer.... :thumbup:

Those were the bikes that tourers were made of. Long before the introduction of the Goldwing. We Vettered them up and away we went.

Long before the intro of the 'wing would mean the '60's then, right? The Goldwing came out in 1974.

Early to late 70's. The Honda 750 was one of those "starter" tourers. Kawi 1000 was another. Back in those days $5K was very expensive for a tourer. Some of us made do with less. I did not get my first factory tourer until 1983. A Yamaha Venture. I think I paid about $4,500 for that one. When I bought that one I remember thinking--I could have got a new car. :roflblack:
I literally swapped an almost brand new car for a new Honda K7 CB750/4 in thd early 70's; and then a couple of years later sold an older car for a Honda CB550/4 K3... they were both well worth it. :thumbup:
Shame that I hadta sell the bikes a few years later when our kids started arriving, but I guess they were worth it!

I really liked my ST1300, too, until it went into a mountain ravine and left me layin' in the ditch at the top. Then I took the insurance check and bought my RSS. But this HONDA might mean sayin' goodbye to the RSS.

That trunk fits perfectly into the "retro 80's" theme.
How many of us ordered trunks and cargo racks from J.C. Whitney, and then mounted them onto whatever bike we were riding at the time?
Nothing was integrated: you had to cobble stuff together in the best way that you could manage.

I also really like this one. I had a 1993 Night Hawk 750. Coolest looking bike I ever owned.

Brings back some fond memories--don't it? J. C. Whitney was the other go to. I liked them for seats. After doing two or three with Vetter stuff, I kind of liked what was going on. Then, the factories figured out they were losing to much money, and the "tourer" was born. Great choices in the seventies-eighties. Venture, Cavalcade, Goldwing, and Voyager. All good competition for HD. :yes::yes:
