• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hello everyone, I am brand new here.
I used to ride motorcycles, had some kids and therefore no motorcycles per the wife's request. I wanted to ride again and checked out spyders for fun (snowmobilers). Took the 3 wheel can-am class to ride, few weeks later own a 2015 F3-S with 2000 miles on it. I have owned it about 2 weeks and now have 3K miles on it. :)

I do know I need a back rest. I am curious to hear what backrests people have and what is good. The passenger has a detachable backrest, but I need my own.

The other thing I need to figure out is a phone holder for GPS. The previous owner has a radio in between the handlebars which I don't like because I would like my phone there. I did try using a phone holder for a handlebar mount but it blocks the speedo. curious other setup suggestions. I would like music, gps. I could always use an ear bud too.

He did give me brand new bags with it, the cross country saddle. It didn't have the hardware and was never installed because of that. I think I can order just the parts for that?

Anyway, I am just curious what other F3 owners are doing for setups like that.

I got the BRP backrest. I am in Canada, and high shipping costs to Canada from the US. Dealer also allowed 14 day return. It was expensive, but adjustable, and has a pin to prevent it from being stolen.

I am now using a Tackform phone holder. It is solid. I got it from Motorcycle Dave, one of the forum sponsors.

Congratulations on the purchase of your Spyder.

I have used the Lamonster driver backrest for a number of years on the same year and model as yours. He is a great source of accessories, and tests everything he sells!

I tried a Show Chrome Backrest on my F3T.
Didn't like the positioning. It pushed me into the tank.
Sent it back after trying all the settings and adjustments.

I highly recommend the Lamonster driver's backrest. Solidly built and adjustable.
For phone and GPS mounting I just put a couple of RAM mounts on the handlebars.
