• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2025 F3 - any other way to get software updates? Do I need to go to a dealer?

Got a safety recall notice in the mail today. Went to try to check for update and it says no updates available. I'm still on v3.1.0 and I did that when I first got the F3 home and checked. That was in Feb 2025. Any other way to get updates? I'm sure there are some. The notice says I need at least V6.0.0 or higher to install. Maybe I have to go to a dealership? TIA

Did you make sure your F3 was connected to your home wi-fi? If so, the update should have been found.

Per other threads on the topic, note that the bike will likely have to be connected to a charger or running for the update to install.

I'm not the least tech savvy and was unsure about trying it at home, so I rode to the dealer. Only took a few minutes.

2024 and newer models just need a good wifi connection to download software revisions. Sometimes takes multiple tries to get it to complete.

Not the most tech savvy here. I gave it a try in my garage with the bike running. It was easy to do. Took about15 minutes total.

What everyone above says. If you are having trouble getting wi-fi to connect, make sure your router has a 2.4Ghz wi-fi signal. The bike cannot connect to 5Ghz. Some wi-fi routers that broadcast both 2.4 and 5 can be very difficult for a 2.4 only system to connect to. If that's the case, try opening a 2.4 wi-fi hotspot on your cell phone and connect the bike to it. After the download is complete you may find that the install button stays greyed out. I have done this update on numerous bikes and some are not happy with my battery tender. If that is the case you can get the update button to work by leaving the engine running for the whole time it takes to update. (up to about 10 minutes). Do not interrupt the update process after it starts using either method. The console will blank out and reboot a couple of times. It will tell you when it's finished.
