• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New Helmet!

The one thing I love about riding my high tech machine is wearing a low tech helmet. While it protects me, I don't have to worry about multiple screens, flashing lights, and the batteries dying. I love technology, but there have to be limits.this helmet is cool, but way too complicated for me.

I would buy it based on the girl's sexy voice alone... I'm a sucker for the British accent, especially when it comes to marketing/selling things. It's like the mythological Siren calling for me, lol

:D It's a sweet package... but aren't helmets supposed to be replaced every three to five years? :dontknow:

I keep some "Low-Tech" guidance systems available on my bike: the Missus!
(And I haven't had to replace her yet!)

Very Cool

I really think that if this was an affordable item, or I won the lottery, it would be an ideal type of helmet to own. I mean one of our biggest fears is not being seen and our response to that fear is to have our head on a swivel, this takes the swivel out of it and allows us to keep our eyes on the road, and monitor all around us. And solar powered, now that is cool. Hey speaking of cool, I wonder if the solar power could power a tiny air conditioner!:roflblack:

While I would really like to agree with you; I'd rather trust my own abilities to maintain situational awareness, and use my mirrors, brain, and eyeballs properly...
Trusting in Technology? I think not!

But

You would still be doing that. The heads up display and alerts just add information to what you have now. Look no one has ever developed a computer that can process information, and can react quicker than the one between your ears. Amazing capabilities, this just adds additional I put to allow that computer to respond quickly, and efficiently!

i would be all over this thing if they didnt cost so much. This looks nicer than the Skully which they have been selling for i think around 1500 for over a year and a half and STILL HAVE NOT SHIPPED A SINGLE HELMET. Nice of them to take the couple million in sales and invest it while everyone hopes that eventually they will get a helmet. I think the rear view would be awesome, to keep from having to look over your shoulder or see people approaching from behind could prevent a lot of accidents. I think the lights and dings when a car gets near would suck in traffic so hope that is either speed sensitive or you can turn it off. I do hate how much they charge for these devices that could potentially save peoples lives. At 2000 you could buy a full spyder RT or 10 helmets. I could buy only about 4 for the cost of my sport bike. Hopefully they will get down to a reasonable range before im too old to use them or dead.

I failed at GoPro 101 so am thinking the helmet is a bit beyond my current capabilities or my desire to learn something new.

We are going to get new helmets 2016 season--and I am thinking Nolan again.

Strikes me as being more visual load on the brain creating a more distracted driving experience. We have enough problem with distracted driving as it is now.
