• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New helmet

Not that I needed one, but I never let 'need' stop me in the past. Oh, and BTW, don't let the camera perspective fool you, that is a 200 lbs. mountain lion protecting my new treasure. So don't think you can take it away so easily. :lecturef_smilie:

Nice helmet. The Princess says hello to your other friend. She joins me on the desk each morning to read SL.:yes:

Who's Kyle Bush?????? Don't follow NASCAR ------ I'm much more of an NHRA guy.

But he has since changed his helmet.

We lost the Fox channel as part of our cable TV package. Have only seen one NASCAR race this year. And guess what...we have not missed seeing it on a regular basis.

No football, No NASCAR--Oh the humanity. :roflblack::roflblack:

Agree to much of your comments

OK, here's where I get into trouble !!!
Can't stand NASCAR's current announcers that started I think last year, and don't watch much anymore. Steve Litart (sp?) and Jeff Burton need to be permanently released from the "NASCAR CARE CENTER" :roflblack: It use to be fun watching the races for the action and driver skills, but these 2 announcers and their constant inputs about what every driver is thinking every minute of the race, make listening a REAL chore and every race seem like all day rather than only 4-5 hours. :banghead::banghead:

In addition,
NFL has become the same as watching a WWF program or an old Charleton Heston crusades movie.
Personally I think the NFL brotherhood's intent is to bring back the gladiator matches of biblical days...with their fireworks at game starts and individual antics after "most" plays, etc. My wife watches (and complains all the time about the refs and their calls).
Of course, you have to recognize, the players ARE such GREAT role models for our kids :2thumbs::yikes:

I try and catch up on S.L. instead :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

Have pretty much stopped watching the NFL due to the lack of respect of some players and the lack of b@))s of the owners. It's all about the money. And haven't missed it either

I would love to be a NASCAR announcer. It's the easiest job in the world...

"He approaches the corner hard...and turns...left!"
"He slams down the hammer, reaches the corner...and turns...left!"
"Number 12 is coming up hard on the leader...he overtakes him...and turns...left!"
"Richard Jimmy Jim Bob Jr. in number 22 avoids the crash...and turns...left!"

you wouldn't make it

Your approach wouldn't get you the job. In the current NASCAR announcer regime, you would need to mention every drivers name and say you know exactly why he did it and what everyone else was doing or thinking at the time. :roflblack:
