• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New Garmin NA map.

Thanks for the notification, I completed mine last week or so.

on the same topic, I have attempted to load the dealer locator from the BRP site, per instructions but it still is missing a lot of dealers. Has anyone got this to work for them?

Map update 2018.10 only became available this morning.

I don't know how up to date the dealer file is but you can't be missing a lot of dealers. Did you delete the old file?

Is it free? I have a 7 year old zumo 660
.

Take off the battery cover. Take out the battery. You will find a label. If the label says "Zumo 660LM, NA" or something like that. The important part is the LM. Then the map updates are free. If it says "Zumo 660, NA". Sorry you will have to pay for the update if you want it.

Free only if there are the letters "LM" after the serial number. Mine did not have it, so I ponied up the $89.00 to buy the lifetime upgrades from Garmin. You can also pay a one time fee for one upgrade, but the lifetime purchase is a much better deal.

Mine is just with the"NA"

Perhaps I will get the lifetime when I upgrade to the 590/595 with my new ride someday. or if I get the lifetime upgrade for the 660 is it interchangeable to a new device?

Either way thanks for the info.

Lifetime maps are not transferable. But I think all new GPS sold are Lifetime map models. Including the Zumo 590 and 595.
