• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. New F3 LTD Vibration

So after several years of admiring the Spyder I took the plunge and picked up my new 2016 F3 LTD this weekend. It is a blast to ride and looks great, I am working on the break in period rode about 250 miles yesterday and noticed a fairly significant vibration mainly on the left footboard that occurs between 3800-4000 RPM it's not noticeable below that and once you hit 4050 RPM it goes away. Just wondering if anyone else has had this experience or if it is something I should be worried about.

There are posts about this if you search it... For me I felt it then rolled off the throttle and back on and it solved the issue...

You get used to the vibration of the belt. You'll eventually forget about it as you roll through it.

If it's really bothersome, look up Jim at SmoothSpyder and buy a belt tensioner. I had one on both of my RT Limiteds and it worked real well. Although, I think he's still perfecting it for the F3L.

Disappears

If you are lucky the vibration will disappear completely like mine did after a few thousand miles.:thumbup:

Known issue with the F3, when you feel the vibration coming on just rock the throttle a little and you will move past it.

A known issue. Good advice above.

Early in this year, there was a statement that BRP was aware and looking into a fix for the vibration. Did they forget, or are they still "looking into it?"

Time goes by quickly. :bbq::bbq:

My F3 had a similar issue.
At 3K I checked the drive belt tension with a Gates Sonic meter and found the tension was about half what it should be.
I readjusted the tension to spec and the vibration went away.

2016 FT3 Vibration

I bought a new 2016 FT3 with audio back in May 7th. I am at 5100KM on it and still have the vibration when getting to 4000 to 4400 rpm. It sux cause the speed is between 90 to 115 KM so when on hwy i have to go above that wich is speeding or stay at 90 wich sux.. I tried everything and YOU CANT put a Belt tensioner on the 2016 FT3..
