• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

:clap:I just got my new Drift camera in the mail today! We mounted it to the top bolt of the windshield on the left side. Here are my test camera shots, tomorrow I'll test the video mode on our day trip. I think I am really going to like this camera...I have been going through photo taking withdrawals ever since I got my own Spyder...this should give me fix at least on the road!

Looks good. I'm going to pull out my GoPro and give it another try before I leave for Durango. I won't have the same pictures as you this trip so I had better take some for myself.

We'll be approaching Durango from opposite sides this time! You'll have to have your friend take photos along the route...that'll be different for you, having photos from the back of your Spyder! It'll be a bit lonely without you and Joe traveling with us this year, but hopefully we will be meeting up with Neal and maybe even Larry along the way.

Hi Paula..pic of where/how you mounted? Any vibration issues? Thanks

Karyl-- Here is how we mounted the Drift. There is very little vibration, only a couple of the photos I took were blurred but it was late evening and I wasn't sure if they would turn out. I think it will be less of a problem during the daylights/full sun time of day. There is a night (low light setting) that I need to try out next time I ride in the evening. They do say that the night mode works better for still shots than the video.

Nice pics..... the Drift really is a great unit!

I went on a nice ride today to give my GoPro another try and damn if I didn't screw it up again. I got one photo at the beginning and one at the end. I even rode to the Hoover Dam to get a good video of the new bridge from below. I guess I should have just walked across the bridge and tossed the camera off it! :banghead: One more week to learn how to use it.

Kinda sounds like it was in still photo mode instead of video mode.
