New Brakes - Fault Code C0042 - anyone know what's going on?

This is quite interesting, even though this is years old it still pertains it sounds like.
I now have 3600 miles on my 2020 RT Limited, and on the way home last night got a brake failure warning with code C0042.
I have looked through the repair manual I purchased, the owners manual, Lamonsters code page, and as of yet have not found what C0042 is.

I Turned the bike off, waited about 30 seconds, restarted it, and all lights were off and no more code showing on the screen.

Did you have your foot resting on brake pedal? I remember some having an issue with foot touching pedal long enough that the ECU throws a code.
Not sitting at a red light, but rather riding for miles and the brake pedal is slightly depressed.
Check the fluid level also.

Did you find the reason of this code i have the same issue like you have and when i shut it down the code and the brake failure message disapear and just in the next ride directly shows up again so any advices ??

I just received the code while out riding tonight. Is it safe to ride with this code?
The code cleared after I parked, and turned the spyder off and back on. I'm about 30 minutes from home. Its getting pretty cold out. BRP is supposed to be scheduling a tow, but I haven't heard back regarding the scheduled tow in about 30 min

Generic C0042 Meaning
The Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Module monitors the Brake Pedal Position Sensor. The ABS Module sets the code when the Brake Pedal Position Sensor is not to factory specifications.

Welp,
Decided to ride her home. The fault didn't return. I'll take another ride tomorrow and try to get to the dealership to have them take a look.

I have posted about this previously. It is caused by the low pressure switch. There is a procedure for resetting it and must be done any time you bleed the brakes and turn the key on before pumping the brakes up hard. NEVER turn the key on during the bleeding process unless you have BUDS. If you do, you will get that code and need to go thru the reset procedure. I am not sure of the procedure now, but it is in the service manual.

That's the crazy part for me. I haven't done any brake work. I have about 220 miles on it. I guess it could be low brake fluid though. Thanks All!

Try this.
1 turn on ignition.
2 push brake pedal down as far as possible(should hear 2 clicks) and hold it
3 turn off ignition
4 release pedal
5 wait 30 sec then turn ignition back on. Fault code for LPS should be cleared.

This is straight out of the service manual

Thanks. I dropped it off at the shop the next day to have them take a look. while there, I'm having them take a look at a few other things. so, it will be there for a few days. passenger heated seat isn't heating. so, they'll look at that. Also, will address the fitment issues.
The other thing that I failed to mention is that after I pulled over, I engaged the parking brake, but it wouldn't disengage after pressing the button multiple times. I power cycled the ignition and the parking brake disengaged. Not sure if that is related or not, but just something to note.

So, it happened again last night in a parking lot. This time it was similar to a post where someone said it happened to their dad or someone and the parking brake engaged. Mine did the same. I wasn't traveling fast. I was at a rolling speed(less than 5mph). Someone mentioned a sensor reading and brake fluid levels. Not sure about that. This was the 4th time I've experienced this code C0042 since owning the spyder, and 2nd time since getting it out of the shop.
It is due for the 600 mile service. So I will bring it to the shop's attention again when I'm there.

Hello
I know here are a lot of threads on brake failure and I have read many of them, but cannot find a solution to My failure.
It all started about 2 months ago while braking, the pedal went all the way down and triggered a BRAKE FAILURE alarm on my screen and afterwards a code C0042.
Even though the brake worked all right I made some research and found out that this was due to low pressure on the brake fluid system. As brakes are very important, I took it to my local dealer and they told me the brake fluid has to be replaced and the system bled, as my Spyder has about 60,000 miles. So they did that, but the problem was still there - the pedal, while braking, goes all the way down. They told me that they have to change the master cylinder (kind of a BRAKE pump) but did not have it in stock so I myself ordered an OEM new Master Cylinder somewhere else and they installed it and bled the system, and the same problem persists!!!
Now they tell me that the new OEM Master Cylinder I ordered is faulty and need to get a second one!! So I did, I got them a new OEM Master Cylinder and they got it installed. Same problem!!!!
They have bled the brake system in so many different ways, also using a vacuum pump for this matter, following different sequences, etc. and just cannot fix My brakes.
It has been two months since the problem started and we are still stuck with no solutions as the first day.
I am so desperate here that I do not know what else to do. I was so happy with My Spyder before this terrible episode but now I am so disappointed about the bike and about the dealership, as they have no idea in how to fix it.
Any help or comment to find out how to fix it will be greatly appreciated.

Are you going to a BRP shop or a private shop that works on everything? Are they using BUDS to bleed the system?

Are you able to pump the system up to where you have high, hard pedal? Or does the pedal continue to fall after pumping?

Agree should be able to pump. & only go all the way with extreme force. New master cylinder & new DOT4 fluid throughout. The ABS possibly needs reset clear but pedal should not bottom out.
