• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New Antenna from Spyderpops

So no word on F3T compatability?

The radio reception sucks so badly I'd be willing to try something new.

I just ordered one from SpyderPops. I don't ever listen to my radio (Not sure if it even works), but I just like the looks of this one better.

Thanks for the heads-up Joe.

Thank you for letting me know!

Just got my order in today! The antenna was very simple to install and looks GREAT! No more problems with putting on the cover with the original long antenna. OH and no more ep ep horn, installed the WOLO Bad Boy Horn. It too was very easy and sounds AWESOME!!

Thanks so much SPYDERPOPS!!!

I received mine today and will probably install it tomorrow. Looks fairly simple.

Thanks SpyderPops for another speedy fulfillment!

New antenna with better range and much more solid, Just got this from Spyderpops and it comes with a new style boot that won't fly off and works with half or full cover without breaking, what do you think, looks good don't it?

Several of us were at Spyderpops yesterday and had them installed, very solid and good range. I especially like the new "boot" that is nice and tight.

I bought a replacement antenna from Walmart for about 9.00 and it works good, it comes with several fittings and you have to figure out which one to use, but I seen this on YouTube and it works.......

Installed mine today, took about ten minutes with most of the time spent wrestling the factory antenna off.
I had to pull out the manual and learn how to change and set radio stations, as I haven't used the radio in the 15 months I've owned my :spyder2:.
It seems to work well, although I can't compare it to how well the stock antenna worked since I never used it. It certainly looks better though.

Something to think about

Some antennas are really stuck to the radio - as the folks that sell them say:

"If you can not loosen the stock RT Antenna, do not purchase this replacement Antenna."

The 14+ seem to be fairly easy to get off, the 13 and older seem to have some very strong thread lock applied and are more difficult. We have some information on removal on our product page for the new antenna's. I strongly suggest anyone with 13 and older machines to make sure they can be removed easily before purchasing. And yes we have had quite a few of you order these from us this week. As you could see in the earlier post we are in Alaska right now and all of your emails stated will ship next week.
