• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Got rid of my RSS couple months ago and bought a Triumph street twin...a joy to ride and great to be on two wheels again BUT. Wife and I did a 700 mile trip on her ST last weekend two up. Half way I knew the triumph could never be a long range bike for me. Enter a 2015 F3s with 1900 miles ( was a regional managers bike with BRP, He a new one every year hence the low mileage ). Got the numbers doable even though I am taking a beating on the triumph. Best I can tell the 2015/2016 F3s are identical except the rear shock and instrument cluster. Have no idea what I'm asking here, just comments I guess that I can mull over :-)

You can always upgrade that rear shock. Have you compared the deal to what a 16 would set you back? I'd imagine that the deal on the 15 would be much better than any deals you could get on a 16. Dave Ramsey would approve of you buying used instead of new. :roflblack:

Thanks Ann

Yep, dealer has a 2016 F3t that he has a good price on but I can't see paying for the small hard bags on it when a set of cortecs with a tail bag on the rear seat will hold more for bout $300

Re shock there is what brp call a two up shock for the f3 which I thoroughly recommend. Look on here for two up shock thread. Only a couple of hundred dollars but essential bit of kit, should come on the bike but doesn't. Wheel and deal and get it included. 9 coils instead of 6 I believe but don't quote me. Hope this helps.
Re instrument cluster f3t is fancier so takes longer to boot up, but maybe looks more colourful lol

Love my F3S.

And cortech for me. Alone or with the wife. Haha

thanks all

At 63 I'm thinking the Triumph, while a pure joy on short trips and city traffic was maybe my last grasp at holding on to that elusive thing called youth :-). Going in an hour to "get her done ". Back to a two Spyder family again.

Silver or grey ( wife tells me I'm color blind ) with orange frame just like the one pictured above.

Thanks for the comments, kinda knew what I wanted but sooo hate spending money ;-)

Ride safe,
David
