• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ok so i recently bought my wife the 2014 Spyder RT and she loves it..... Shes been taking it to work, and recently her co workers have been telling her that the members @ COSTCO are starting to touch, push buttons/horn & sitting on it!!! WTF! the #1 rule for bikes are..... DONT SIT ON ISH THATS NOT YOURS!!! Rite lol.... well i bought the Scorpio i900 alarm system with perimeter sensor, but im having issues locating the wiring i must splice into.... I can see the tail light wires but need to find a closer location towards the battery if possible? ive installed this on my STRYKER with success but i dont know the wiring colors for the spyder and cant find it???? please help!!!

don't have your answer but in the mean time get a cover (BRP makes them) for the bike to keep them off.

Also for a technical question about wiring the RT Shop section would work better.

Someone here will be able to get you the right info. Good Luck.

Under the left hand panel (it has the rear handgrip heater controls), there is a wire harness there that goes to both lights.

A bummer when grown people act like children. Were the cards reversed, I bet they would not like it if you sat in/on their transportation and started playing with all the knobs and levers.

A cover or sign may also help in the meantime.

I stopped taking mine to work because people kept sitting on it without permission...I wouldn't sit in there brand new car like it was mine...Because they haven't seen these things up close, people think it's a toy. You never touch a man's/woman's bike without the ok...Period...

If you want to try a reasonably-priced cover for the seat...
Check out the "Spyder Sisters" on EBay. ;)
They make a cover, that hooks between the handlebars, and the rear seating area... I think that they're about 30 bucks! [emoji106]
I have one of those covers and it is fantastic! Also takes up very little space in the trunk.

IMHO-Alarms just tend to draw more unwanted attention to your ride...

I have that alarm on my 2012 RT and I bought the Repair manual online and it had the colour layout for the tail lights etc. I was able to splice in just around the passenger grips, but the battery on the 14 is up front, so not sure where would be a good spot!

We have a Spyder Sisters cover and use it all the time to keep people from sitting on it and to shelter the seat from the sun. Good value, packs very small and does the trick. It won't keep the rain off though. For that you need something else.

Stevedfive ...a member here installed the same alarm...pm him he is a great guy who would happy to help you!

Bummer..!!

I have the nelson riggs half cover that works best. Protects from sun, rain and pests....they do tire but takes time...:banghead:
