• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Need CAT delete installer in TN

Looking for recommendations on where I can find someone, preferably in or near middle TN, to install a Pitbull CAT delete for my STS. I recently bought it believing my dealer, who has installed everything else and even recommended it, would install it but they turned me down. Any suggestions? I am more concerned with knowing it is done right rather than learning how to do it myself.

They said that their contract with BRP wont allow installing certain after market products not sold by BRP.

Let us know how this turns out for you. Good luck. I am considering the same thing for my Spyder...:spyder:

Perhaps you should approach other shops to have your primary muffler replaced. Shops rightly get nervous when you say anything about cats.

Thanks Clinard! Had MidSouth do the install today. Seem like good folks and will likely use them again, especially since my dealer has been so difficult.

...especially since my dealer has been so difficult.

A dealer that does a job that modifies the emissions system is making themselves liable should the EPA decide to enforce their rules against the dealer. Harley and Volkswagen have been caught on that and while some say the EPA would never go after a dealer or an individual I can't blame anyone who declines taking that chance.

I suspect that is pure hogwash! Pitbull was the BRP "Dealer of the Year" for last year and they are the ones who market the cat bypass pipe. Also, as you found out, other dealers do install the bypass pipe. So now, if you feel so inclined to go back to that dealer, you should ask them why they lied to you about it, and what their real reason was.

While probably not for this "offense", the EPA has indeed gone after individuals for various other reasons - especially those individuals who happen to be members of the "wrong" political party. Don't know about dealers, but my feeling is that the dealer should have been up front about their reason and not lie about it to the customer, blaming BRP. :sour:
