• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My yellow spyder is a lemon

Hopefully it won't take too long before they get everything straightened out with your Spyder. The good news is you have the information directly from the original owner and he can help guide you in the right directions as well.

I also wondered what the Triumph dealer was going to do with it once they took it in on a trade.

I mentioned the warranty coverage, they didn't say anything about changing the coverage. I just assumed the would know what to do.

I think you need to push them on the extended. The original 2-years expires in May. That's not long.

When I traded, they stated that they would just wholesale it to the Can AM dealer. My low trade-in certainly should have allowed that. However, something changed and they sold it themselves in about two months.

I suspect they felt they may have had a golden opportunity to make some more money, strictly based on what they gave you for trade in. Unfortunately it does not sound like they took your disclosure to heart and attempted to do anything about the trouble before deciding to sell it out right.

On the bright side though, I feel it is a good thing that you and the new owner are communicating with each other and that person will no longer be in the dark about the issue. :2thumbs:

They can change it over but you dont have to.The best warranty stays with the bike.Thats the way it worked with my brothers can-am renegade,he bought used from a friend. Then had some repairs done for the 50 bucks. No problems.....
