• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I hate groping round in the dark, some nights are so dark I can't find the ignition key hole, let alone find anything in the trunk, frunk or glovebox.

Wouldn't it be good if you could illumintes all 4 places at the touch of a button on your key ring, and if you forgot to turn then off they would go off in 45 seconds.

WELL NOW I'VE DONE IT :yes::yes::yes::clap::clap::clap::clap:

I bought a 12v remote control time switch on ebay for less than 10 bucks, I already had loads of led strip left from other jobs on the bike. I put the circuit board about the size of a match box in a plastic box for safety and wired 4 leads to the 4 different places. took a fused feed from the battery so it's permanently live and hey presto it works. Took me 2 days to do the job but winter is here so it was worth it as I ride all year round.

I made a video of it in action but can't find out how to upload it, if someone tells me I'll do it.
I tried clicking on the add video, but it would not let me upload from my computer.

As a Farkle sicko, would love to see the video - never too many Farkles

If your video has been uploaded to Youtube, you can just copy the link, and paste it in here.
(I'd like to see this one at work also!)

I don't want another fob, so I think i will try ans rig up a push button on the bike system. Hoping something like this Ebaay item will work. (there are so many to choose from.)

Yes this will work, you'll need a momentary make switch also available on ebay,if you have any switch blank plates like on my RT 8mm hole and it's mounted.

My keyfob idea was to light up the bike as you walk towards it.
I put the module under the left lift off cove by the frunk lid.
Keep looking on ebay see if you can find a module already boxed, finding a box was a real pain.
I connected all the wires to the module with miniture plugs and sockets.
Module shown above has 15ma idle current, try to find something lower, mine is only 6ma to preserve battery charge.

need any advice just ask me
Alex
