This has been a great weekend, Saturday mid 50s, Sunday Low 60s, Mon somewhere in the 70s, WOW.
We rode about 350 miles this weekend, some by ourselves and some with friends, I am really enjoying this 2014 with its new clutch, motor, transmission etc, etc, etc. I loved my 2012 RTL and my 2013 RT Basic, but i will tell you that my 2014 is without a doubt way more comfortable and way more relaxing. I can now ride more without having to be concerned if i am in the right gear or if i am revved up high enough for the clutch, and although there are more gears, i spend less time shifting with this new transmission.
I am thoroughly aware that there are others out there that have had, and continue to have problems, some minor, some caused by operator error, and some genuinely serious mechanical problems. Like many i have had to deal with recalls and bulletins etc, etc, etc, but my biggest gripe to date has been weather related and for that i am happy.
FlamingoBabe and a few others out here have been true champions of the Spyder, and certainly have a reason to complain, some are having minor issues that BRP needs to correct, and then some are having problems because they did not do their homework before making an expensive purchase and fail to realize that this is a mechanical machine and they should expect some problems (i am not talking about major mechanical or heat problems).
My ramblings are just that, Ramblings, about the joy i get from riding my Spyder.
Hope to see as many of you as possible at Spyderfest and other events.
ALSO, those of you that are unhappy with Lamont and or Spyderlovers board, you are officially notified that you do not have to participate on HIS board any longer, you have been released from all your commitments and may stay or leave at your pleasure.
