Anyone use one of these to lyft there Spyder?

I also have the Sears version of the harbor freight one. They all work fine on the Spyder.

I'm not to proud to say, have it and it works like a champ.

I also use it on my Goldwing.

I have one as well, not the greatest engineering, some really cheap parts, but it works fine once you get past those issues. Now would I buy it again, probably not. At the very least I would probably upgrade to their aluminum version, it looked much better made and in the long run, the price difference would be long forgotten.

Used regularly on my Spyder RT Limited, even made a wood platform to help raise the Spyder high enough (With jack stands) to change my sway bar. Has worked great!

I use J&S jack with Spyder adapter!!

RussRT, Your adapter cost more than my lift! Thanks for pointing that out. I spent the $600+ bucks the J&S lift costs on trips last year. I could've saved that and bought a new lift every year for the next 7 or so years, but the $80 lift I bought last year still works....<G>
BUT the OP was asking about the HF Pittsburgh lift, not what lift everyone uses.

I have one. It is a little tight getting it under the bike so I routinely run the front wheels onto 2X10s before putting the lift in place. Works just fine.

looked at the Harbor freight version of this one the other day. Almost double the cost of the red one but very cool looking.
The arms that go under the bike are a bit shorter than those on the red lift.
How do you like it?
Easy to get under the Spyder?

I have and use the HF lift. Works like a champ. I will say this though, for our 11 RTS, we have web boards on and it keeps from getting centered on the Spyder. So to fix this I jack the Spyder up and then use jackstands under it.

Just so folk with the older version with the web boards know, that you can get up under there and centered with them installed.

I also have the ramps from HF and use it to jack up the spyder and use the ramps to change the oil, that way I can just drive off and don't have to leave it up teetering around.

I have an old HF lift like that only mine is yellow. I bought back in 2008 for my Royal Star Tour Deluxe,it works well on the lift action but the let down is very abrupt. I still have it and still use it on the Spyder.

For the folks having to drive up on 2x's to get the HF lift under their Spyder, have you checked the rear air bag pressure? My '13 needed the 2x's until I upped the airbag pressure from approx 20lbs to 50lbs. Still rides great and fits over the lift every time.

had mine for about 8 yrs now... just used it the other day on my F3....
the silver paint must be expensive.... mine is yellow, and only cost me $49.....
also use it for my John Deere.... very handy tool.... :clap:

Thanks for this post. I was thinking about getting the J & S, but for the little I would use a jack looks like I'll be going to Harbor Freight.

I use the HF jack you mentioned

I ride the Spyder up on ramps first sometimes, or I jack it up and use stands, but either way it works just fine!

I just bought the exact same jack as you have today. How do you position the jack under the bike to get at the engine oil drain plug without it being in your way. I need a oil pan under neath to catch the oil.
