• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Motorcycle GPS

I prefer to have an actual GPS. The car GPS are not that glove friendly and they are not waterproof. I would think about it this way. If it were not supposed to be in the rain I would not mount it on any bike. Going cheap with a zip lock back could have you paying lots if it gets wet and shorts out your Spyder’s computer system. I am pretty sure this would not be covered under any warranty.

If the GPS is properly fused, it won't hurt a thing. It is not going to affect the Spyder computers in any case, since it is not connected to them. Let's not be alarmist.

As the original poster, thanks for everyone's input. I have purchased the Garmin 390L which has the ability to add TPMS sensors to each wheel which saves me buying a dedicated TPMS unit. Now looking at the new Sena S20 that is due on the market soon. My next challenge is how can I connect the Sena to my audio system on my 2010 RTS SE5 so that I can alter volume, play IPod tracks etc via the bike left hand controls?

This subject has possibly been covered before however if someone could post the thread or reply would be appreciated.
