• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

MORE INFO ON VICTORY.

It does make sense. The Victory and Indian lines are kinda redundant. Like one of the dealers said, this would be a great time to get a good price on a Victory.

Or the profitable ones....
Are you discussing short-term, or long-term profits? :dontknow:
Have they considered how this decision will affect their reputation in the marketplace?
If prospective buyers of anything that comes from Polaris decide to purchase elsewhere: this could impact their sales in major ways.
They sell
Snowmobiles
ATVs
Indian motorcycles
SlingShots

They also bought a lot of battery-powered technology from Brammo...

What if folks decide that they're not going to remain in the marketplace?

Ahhhh....

Still a shame. Victory did have a style of it's own and it's sad to see it go. But hey..!! like the indidan it may be back down the road..... we never see the figures so who knows....

Unlike Indian, the "Victory" name wasn't around long enough to really be considered an iconic brand. It really served no purpose to keep two similar brands under the same Polaris roof. Easier to utilize the "Indian" name and heritage and focus on further developing the "Indian" name. No reason Polaris couldn't add a Victory styled bike to the Indian lineup. Likely, they would sell better due to the use of the more iconic "Indian" name too.
Simply, long term....
