• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Mirror

I had mirror off, and was putting it back on, and broke the top plastic catch. Not the ones with the wire, but the top one that slides on. I called parts guy, and he said I needed whole new mirror assembly. I said no way, it's a little clip held on with 2 screws. He then said he couldn't figure out what part I wanted, I needed to find the part # and call him back. I'm about ready to find a new dealer. Can anyone give me the right part number please, so I can do his job for him ? Thanks

Talk to Lamonster or one of the other Forum Vendors of this sort of thing & get yourself a set of Magic Mirror Mounts - they do away with the fragile & fiddly placcy mounts & replace them with rare earth magnets that make removing & replacing your RT Mirrors a breeze, even one handed, but holding them more securely & with less inherent chance of vibration. Check 'em out at magicmirrors.shop & watch the vids, but remember that's their 'home site' in Tasmania, Australia - you can get them quicker from the local vendors like Lamontster & other Forum Vendors

Ps: you should be able to get replacement Mirror mounting 'pellets' from BRP or cheapcycleparts locally too, but why would you? They're only going to break again.... ;)

Agree....

:agree: but just in case....

Top one is 219800158 and cost 7.62
Bottom one is 219800156 and cost 14.42 includes clip

Part # and price from cheapcycleparts.com......

I thought the magnets in the Magic Mirrors mess up the temperature and fuel gauge readings ?

Not if you put them on right. Mine messed my gauges up initially, and all I had to do was reverse the magnets (flip them over) and the problem disappeared. They work great!

FLIPPING MAGNETS

I find this very interesting .... Magnets usually have two Poles a North and a South ( they do make Magnets with multiple poles in the same magnet !! ) they both produce the exact same Magnetic Field ..... Do the instruments know which is which ??? , even if they did , why would it matter both Poles produce the same field ............. PS my magnets are encased in a steel cup and only project the field out from the magnet to the metal plate ....only about 5% are projected from the rear ( or case side ) ...... Mike
