• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Mileage pins

your mileage cluster must match the failed odometer reading. the factory is required to program the last mileage, into the new replacement unit. and to the best of my knowledge... that is a US DOT requirement; so someone can't sell an altered odometer, to some poor unsuspecting boob.

unless that has changed since 1998, when I worked for H-D... it still goes. get your dealership to have it set correctly. your call...
Federal law only requires that an odometer repair notice be attached to the left front doorframe of the vehicle. There is no DOT requirement to reprogram the replacement unit. Of course motorcycles have no such doorframe, so we are in limbo. To the best of my knowledge Harley is the only motorcycle manufacturer supplying corrected repalcement odometers. Once again, I request your specific sources. Vague references are not laws or regulations.
