• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Members List Suggestion

I think it would benefit members if Location showed up on the Members List.

This can be done from Admin CP and making Location a required field.

Then you can use the following:

Admin CP -> vBulletin Options -> User Listing Options -> Members List Enabled -> Custom Fields (check)

In this way members can quickly scan the list for SpyderRyders near them.

Irish, that is a good idea except for one thing. It is optional now and people that want that information will put it in and those that do not, have the ability to leave it out. It is nice to know where everyone is from and if other riders are in your area but some people are more private and do not want to advertise this.

re

I like that idea, helps for better local communication with the option for those that are private not to list it.

If you use the link that Lamonster posted to the member list. Then look to the right you will see showing results ... and next to that there is Search Members click on that and a popup box will appear. On the popup box under the text field you should see Advanced click on that. You should now see all the different advance fields you can search. You should see Location as one of those fields. Type in the abbreviation for which state/province you desire to search. This should get for the most part what you are looking for with the exception that any location that has those 2 letters in the word will display as a result. Type in MS for Mississippi and one person in Wisconsin will appear because the city name contains MS. Hope this helps .
